[ Description ]
On 24th January 2024, 6 members of the collective drove to Karmata Rua with a donated sewing machine in the back of the car. This journey was made possible by a grant Arnhold Forum Fellowships within the Faculty Research Fund and represents an important milestone for the collective.
Alongside the sewing machines installation and a brief induction, several garments were created, a look for each of our hosts with a small fashion show as a finale.
Following the central principle of Millones de Maneras, to confluence all visible styles and create some- thing new, we developed The Great Stitch Up, a short film, a compilation of footage from 3 telephones, which was edited together and sound tracked remotely to document this latest achievement.
The short film is part of the exhibition for Wild Palm gallery at Photo +:Biennale for Visual and Sonic Me- dia, Dusseldorf, Germany, part of To Produce The Sound Of Falling Stones. T
