An unexpected and delightful offshoot of the collaboration came amidst plans to help Commemorate 200 years of Karmata Rua reservation, the women’s home. Impressed by their successes, community leaders requested a fashion show. The women took charge of the whole show, set, music, looks, casting, hair and make-up, everything that makes a fashion show.
I produced a short film showing footage from the show mixed with footage from the event and the wom- en’s fashion show at Museo de Trajes in March 2023. The soundtrack playing has been created using the audio from the phone recordings of the show, that included cheers, claps , hornes building a trance record.
It felt necessary to mark this moment, the short video was looped and shown at Pabellon Design Conference, University de los Andes, Colombia
